As a Brighton-based company, we naturally take great pride in this quirky little place we call home. With its seaside nostalgia, indie spirit, and eclectic mix of just about everything, Brighton knows how to put on a show, especially in the summer.

Join us for volume two of our Summertime guide to Brighton, a handpicked mix of places, experiences, and little gems that capture the spirit of the city.

Sea Lanes

Located right on the beach, Sea Lanes boasts a 50-metre open-air heated pool and serves as the heart of a unique community hub. Beyond the swimming facilities, you'll find Luna Wave Yoga, Barre Set Pilates, and the relaxing Luna Hut Sauna. Even if wellness activities aren't your thing, the on-site food and drink options are reason enough to drop by. With offerings from Wood x Coal, FIKA, and Bison Beer, it's the kind of place where you could easily spend the whole evening enjoying the sunshine.

Ghost Walk of the Lanes

When the sun sets in the city, that's when it comes alive. For four nights out of the week, you can join Rob Marks as the eccentric Silas the Ghost Walker on a haunting excursion of the Lanes. The seventy-minute walking tour features a series of chilling tales of Brighton's macabre past, retelling accounts of gruesome crimes, devilish poltergeists, and Brighton's notorious link to Jack the Ripper. Part local history lesson, part spooky storytelling session, this is the perfect activity for adding a little thrill to a summer night.

The Coal Shed

A self-described 'modern, industrial-style restaurant', The Coal Shed is redefining the world of steakhouses. Taking great pride in their love for flame-cooked flavours, their menu goes above and beyond the 35-day aged Rump and Westholme Wagyu, offering a delicious array of rotisserie and seafood, as well as vegetarian and vegan dishes that are anything but an afterthought. Though situated right in the centre of the city bustle, stepping through the doors, you'd think you were in the upscale areas of London or New York rather than Brighton's North Street.

One Garden

Just a short bus ride outside the bustling city, One Garden is a secret oasis for those seeking a slower pace. Immerse yourself in nature with a series of themed sanctuaries, each designed to honour the past and inspire the future. A peaceful blend of horticultural beauty and community spirit, there's always something new to discover.

Devil's Dyke

A dramatic V-shaped valley carved into the South Downs, Devil's Dyke offers breathtaking panoramic views of the English countryside. Steeped in legend and natural beauty, this National Trust jewel is an absolute must for anybody looking to escape the city.
