“Stories of how Talitha and Paul Getty, Paul Bowles, Mick Jagger, Veruschka and Yves Saint Laurent all resided in Marrakesh have always inspired me. I’m intrigued by how they were enticed by the kingdom’s energy and dynamic and used it for influences and escapes: clothes, colours, music, interior and drugs. I wanted to create a warm and cocooning scent influenced by this era, based on personal reminiscences from the vibrant souks and lively markets in Morocco.”

19-69 was founded by Swedish artist and product developer Johan Bergelin. After a two-year creative process alongside artisans in Scandinavia, France, and Italy, Bergelin launched five scents in 2017.

Each scent is inspired by a different era, culture, or setting from Africa, Europe, the United States, and Asia. Art, music, trends, and cultures have all left their marks on fragrances, influencing their content, names, and packaging. All fragrances are suitable for any gender.
