“Capri by 19-69 is inspired by the stylish and iconic movie Le Mépris, which was shot in 1963 on the Isle of Capri. The settings include Villa Malaparte, and the motion picture incorporates a scheme of red (tolerance, love), blue (coldness) and white (neutral) referring to the national flags of France and the USA, evocative of the thematic elements of the narrative.”

19-69 was founded by Swedish artist and product developer Johan Bergelin. After a two-year creative process alongside artisans in Scandinavia, France, and Italy, Bergelin launched five scents in 2017.

Each scent is inspired by a different era, culture, or setting from Africa, Europe, the United States, and Asia. Art, music, trends, and cultures have all left their marks on fragrances, influencing their content, names, and packaging. All fragrances are suitable for any gender.
