These striped fabrics are the result of a collaboration between Mayan artisans in Guatemala and Swedish designers. The cushion covers create jobs for the indigenous population, while the unique art of weaving gets an opportunity to survive.

A World of Craft collaborates with local artisans to highlight the craftsmanship of developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The idea is to use design as a tool to develop and market traditional crafts and thereby help to create jobs in the regions where the craft is currently the main source of income.
