Working at the turn of the 20th century Carl Auböck is considered an important figure in Austrian Modernism. After studying at the Bauhaus in Weimer, he took over his father's metal workshop transforming it with the design concepts that are now the typical Auböck design. Today, Carl Auböck is a fourth-generation family-run workshop still operating from the original Viennese townhouse. They produce functional yet sculptural metal objects including collectible bookends, stationary and homewares. Contemporary yet crafted with a strong craft heritage, these items are both usable and collectible.
