During an era when people travelled around Stockholm on horseback, Palmgrens supplied bridles, saddles and harnesses receiving the title 'by Appointment to H.M the King of Sweden' in 1903. Travelling by horse is not so common in Stockholm these days, but they continue to produce vegetable tanned leather goods, preserving the craft at selected tanneries across Europe.
Palmgrens products are made in a vegetable tanned calf leather and today they create handbags that age beautifully, jewellery boxes, travel accoutrements, stationery and accessories. One of their most popular ranges is the classic Ratton collection. Created in the 1950s, the Ratton bag is a classic; a Swedish take on the European wicker basket that is elegant, simple and timeless.
