Mourne Textiles Northern Ireland
Mourne Textiles is a family business and have been hand weaving products and garments for three generations.

Mourne's story started in the 1920s when Gerd Bergersen from Norway started making tapestries. By 1949 she had established the design workshop at Killowen on the side of the Mourne Mountains in Ireland and began to teach the local farmers' children how to hand weave.
From humble beginnings, Gerd went on to design and produce 'The Blazer Design' a fabric for Conran and the 'Mourne Check' and 'Mourne Mist' for Hille's Robin Day furniture.
